Principal Gupta is the principal of Albert Einstein High School. Though she actually a very nice woman, she rules with an iron fist and does not tolerate misbehavior in her students. However, one day, when Mia puts her ice-cream cone on Lana's uniform, Lana tries to tell her on Mia, but she only suggests her to take it to laundromats and tells her to get over it. The start of "Sixsational" sees a letter from Principal Gupta to the students, reminding them of what is forbidden at school (e.g. smoking and leaning on the lion statue outside the school, known as Joe).
Lilly Moscovitz has called Principal Gupta "gutless" in the sixth book, referring to the way she runs the school as "the tryannical rule of gutless Gupta".
